God of Love is the most notable entry. It was presented by Delaware’s own native, Luke Matheny. God of Love took the Grand Prize at this year’s 3rd annual festival.  It went on to win the Academy Award for Live Action Short Film in 2011, as well as six other esteemed film awards.

Seasons of Love awards

Season of Love scored wins at a half dozen festivals. The Film Brothers were pleased to have it as part of their lineup.

THE STORY: After falling in love at the dawn of spring, two leaves must find a way to reunite after Mother Nature’s inevitable forces tear them apart. Their budding love transforms their desolate surroundings into a vibrant field, but their time together is tragically short-lived. Following their journey through the seasons, this heart wrenching animated short reveals how true love can withstand time and distance.

RULES FOR SUBMISSION

  • There is NO Entry Fee for each submission
  • All films selected for the festival are automatically eligible for a variety of prizes, including the Grand Prize of $250.00 U.S. dollars.
  • Entrants must be 18 years or older to enter.
  • Shorts – 20 minutes or less in length.
  • ANY genre is accepted for eligibility of cash prizes.
  • Any shorts from previous years are welcomed. So if you have an oldie, but goodie, please submit it.
  • Entries may be on DVD or as an online video link.
  • Festival screening will be DVD only. All submission media should be clearly marked with title, total running time, email address and phone number.
  • DO NOT mail or ship your entry registered, certified or any that requires a signature.
  • Entrants with accepted submissions will be notified by August 15,2010.
  • Please ensure if you are submitting a film that contains copyrighted material by anyone other than yourself, that you have obtained festival clearance for that material used. By entering your work, you agree to this and the responsibilities involved.
  • Films screened in the festival should be presented in English. For all dialogues presented in other languages, the festival will accept subtitling and/or dubbing. Deadline is July 15th, 2010.
