The Beginning

The DelGiorno brothers, Gordon and Greg, founded The Film Brothers in Wilmington, Delaware in 1999.

Films, Shorts, Documentaries & Trailers

Films

The brothers began with production of their films,  ‘Franks & Wieners’ and ‘Routes’.  They went on to create a litany films, such as, ‘Getting Even’, ‘Jack of Clubs’, ’20 Minutes an American Tale’.

Their special, and more recent film collaborations have been on the Bottle vs Can films.
Beer Can – A Love Story premiered in 2019 as a documentary on the history of the beer can and the resurgence of its popularity in modern brewing.  Gordon DelGiorno himself assumed the anthropormorphized role of ‘The Bottle’, while associate Matt DelPizzo starred in the role of ‘The Can’.  The story revolves around their battle for market dominance.
The Canfather premiered in 2022 as a comedic tale of a mythical beer world that mirrored the real world complexities we all face. The two old adversaries, Bottle & Can, come with a message for the real world.  Can you conquer and still coexist in peace?

Shorts

The Film Brothers created shorts, ranging from their 10-second comedy, ‘The Lesson’, to their award winning, ‘Its Sumptin’ in the Beer’ and the musical, ‘Delaware Salutes YouTube.’  Film Brothers shorts come in various genres that include comedy, drama, causes, music and more.

Documentaries

Some of their more noteworthy documentaries include; ‘Voices of Nemours’, ‘A License to Remember’, and ‘Inside Job – The Singer Songwriter Phenomenon’.  A good documentary bring the viewer in to the story.

Trailers

The brothers also specialize in making film trailers and sizzle reels for films, productions, businesses and events.

Awards

The Film Brothers were recognized with awards for their works in the genres of film, shorts & documenties.

Festival of Shorts

The first annual Film Brothers Festival of Shorts began on September 25, 2008, in Wilmington.  Popularity of the festival grew so much that in 2014 the brothers began hosting two film festivals each year.  In addition to the regular Film Festival, they launched the new Annual Winter Film Festival of Shorts.  This ran concurrently with the main festival for six years, up until the COVID era which closed events.  Today, the main Festival of Shorts is a yearly event that shows before sold-out theaters.

Promotional Advertisements & Interviews

Many noteworthy companies have used The Film Brothers to produce professional advertisements for them to reach customers and get their word out.  The Film Brothers also conduct and film interviews for commercial advertisements, documentaries and special events.
