“Jack of Clubs” is a tale of a desperate man who gets in hot water with the law and is ordered to serve his probation working at the Boys & Girls club. He struggles to find common ground with a group of disconnected kids. Frustrated with his progress and fearing another dead-end in his own life, he sees a chance to bring the group together as a film crew: making a movie with the Club’s video camera. The process proves to be a bigger challenge than expected, with lots of hilarious events around every corner.
This comedy / drama film premiered on April 11, 2007, and showed at Cinema Center in the Newark Shopping Center in Delaware on April 19 & 27.
It also launched on Thursday, April 12th, 2007-7:30pm at Theatre N @ Nemours in Delaware. A Pre Party was held at 5pm -7:30pm.

Matt Frack as Jack Simon
After playing semi-pro baseball and working in a number of unfulfilling jobs, Matt Frack has found a new home in front of the camera. In a very short time, this Allentown, PA native has built a solid resume of local, regional, and national commercial and print work. He can be seen in the sixth installment of the ‘Rocky’ story, “Rocky Balboa”, scheduled to be released this December. His film experience also includes a role in the recent feature “Annapolis”. This is his first lead in a feature film. Unlike his character, Matt is very comfortable around kids. He is inspired by his three boys Brody, Gavin and Maguire and a very loving wife, Nicole.
Dani Englander as Sara Flowers
Dani Englander works full-time as an actor in local, regional and national commercials, voice over and print. She will be seen in the upcoming feature film, “Southern Gothic”, scheduled for release in 2007. She has a production company called “Mabel Vixen Productions” and produced, “Two Fireflies”, which is currently in post-production. Dani is the Vice President of Distribution for Kindred Media Group, a boutique film distribution company.
Joe Clipper as Steve
If you ask Joe Clipper, he would describe himself as a “starving, yet relentless artist”. Joe is an experienced singer, songwriter, photographer, poet, writer, and director. His video work includes various documentaries, reality shorts, and projects for cyberchannels like YouTube, VEOH, Google, and MySpace. In the feature film “Jack of Clubs”, Joe plays Steve, the very loyal best friend to Jack Simon.
Marybeth Toscani as Lisa
A native of Philadelphia, she is the 9th child in a family of 10 children. Since becoming an actress/model/singer, Marybeth has appeared on MTV, QVC, as well as several commercials for CBS3, the Philadelphia Zoo, the Philadelphia 76ers, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. She has also performed the national anthem for Villanova University Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams. As a side passion, Marybeth can be seen frequently fronting various cover bands within the Tri-State area. Currently she performs with the band “You Get What You Pay For”.
Hailey Rutt as Julie
At only 9 years old, Hailey Rutt is already a busy actor, model, and spokesperson. While her role as Julie in the film “Jack of Clubs” is her first movie lead, she can be seen in regional TV ads for Giant Foods, Hershey Park, Pathmark, and Hershey Bears Hockey. Hailey has also done extensive print and catalog work for Giant Foods and Bon Ton. When she is not acting or modeling you can find her cheering for the Synergy Elite All~Stars from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
JustinJames Stephan Thomas as Bobby
JustinJames Stephan Thomas is an actor, black belt in tae kwon do, baseball player and student. He plays the troubled yet sensitive role of Bobby in the film, “Jack of Clubs”. This honor roll student has also been seen in two national American Express commercials, a local commercial for Traffic.com, and as the only child extra in the pilot episode of the new Tina Fey sit-com. He was also a principal character in an NBA Promo, produced and directed by Spike Lee. JustinJames is an accomplished athlete as well, he is the starting second baseman for the two-time champion Trico Baseball Team.
Richard Ho as Charlie
An acting student since the age of 7, Richard Ho has appeared in a Pennsylvania Department of Tourism commercial as well as print work for Novartis. When he is not in front of a camera this modern renaissance man enjoys art and playing the piano. “Jack of Clubs” is his first feature film and, after working with him, we are certain he has a bright future ahead of him.
Matthew McCalla as James T. Huber IV
Matthew is an 11 year old honors student with film and commercial acting experience. This precocious young man is also an accomplished singer appearing with both “Little Shavers” and “Main Liners”. Matthew is an engaging and friendly young man, quite the opposite of the arrogant bully he plays in “Jack of Clubs”.
Lisa Holden as Thelma
The production team met Lisa at a local audition in Wilmington, Delaware. Immediately, her commanding presence made her a natural for the wise-beyond-her-years role of Thelma. “Jack of Clubs” is not only her first feature, but her first professional acting experience of any kind. Off the set, this 9 year old enjoys singing, writing, reading, and art. Lisa’s natural gift for comedic timing is certain to make her an actor in great demand.
